Roam Fest Highlights: Women, Bikes & the End of an Era
Roam Fest gave us everything: community highs, dusty bikes, film-night tears, and those “you had to be there” moments. For Amber and me, it was our very first Roam, and showing up as both vendors and attendees meant the weekend was full of lessons, laughs, and all the feelings.

Community, Firsts & Big Feels
Rolling into Fruita as first-time Roam Fest vendors, my truck was packed to the brim with gear, giveaways, and zero extra space. Over-prepared? Absolutely. But the vibe was pure connection. Everywhere we turned, women were showing up authentically, whether it was tackling rides, sharing stories, or just hanging out in camp. That sense of belonging hit hard.
Showing Up Imperfectly
From topless rides that pushed comfort zones to workshops, Roam reminded us what it means to show up as we are. Friday brought an adrenaline crash for me (months of planning + long drives caught up quick), but it also gave us space to soak in the energy. By Saturday, the reset kicked in, and we both felt the freedom to just be.
Inspiration & Inclusion
Film night had us in tears: riders learning to bike in their 60s, athletes rewriting what “fit” looks like, and Chelsea Kimball’s Rampage journey, all showing the spectrum of what’s possible on two wheels. Meeting the Deaf Shredders was another highlight, with ASL clinics and desert dance parties that reminded us how powerful inclusivity can be. Roam may be “ending,” but the impact is clearly just beginning.
The Gear that got us there
A trip like this doesn’t happen without the right setup, and we couldn’t do it without some dialed-in partners. Here’s what made the journey smoother:
🚲 Saris Edge 2-Bike Rack — Take your ride beyond the pavement with the Saris Edge 2-Bike Hitch Rack. Built for cyclists, e-bike riders, and weekend adventurers, it grips your tires – not your frame – for a scratch-free hold. With an anti-wobble system and tilt-away trunk access, the Edge is rock solid on the road and ready for every adventure.
🛏️ Exped MegaMat Auto — car camping comfort that makes the back of the rig feel like home.
🧥 Title Nine apparel — clothes that actually fit, made for all the things along the way. My road trip favorites were the MVT Train Flare Pant, Hudson Stretch Cord Shacket, and the Basecamp Joggers
⚡ Goal Zero power stations — thanks to Tahoe Mountain Sports, we kept the cameras, lights, and chaos charged up.

Sponsor Shout out!
Our very first podcast sponsor (!!) NoSo Patches. These patches go way beyond repairs, they’re about flair, personalization, and self-expression. My fave? The Dazzit Dome—turning a basic hat into something that feels like me.
